Metro in Rally de Portugal

Metro is the easiest way to get to Rally de Portugal Porto Street Stage. This event is going to take place on May 20th at 7pm between Trindade and São Bento. Metro do Porto has an operation specially prepared for the day.

During all day, metro will have all the lines reenforced ensuring a safe and comfortable journey to the public. The use of Trindade and Bolhão stations is recommended. Due to security reasons Aliados Station (Line D) is going to be closed. São Bento Station, also in line D, will be operational with some restrictions if needed.

All passengers must have an Andante card valid for the journey planned. To avoid queues at the stations it’s highly recommended to have an Andante card previously charged with travelling titles needed.

This kind of show attracts thousands of people so, due to the high number of people and the roadblocks that will be made downtown it's advisable to use Metro to get to Aliados. In need to use the car, people should go to Estádio do Dragão where there's a parking lot with 850 parking spaces and then take the Metro to Trindade or Bolhão stations. There are other parking lots in Campanhã, Estádio do Mar (Barranha Park), Sete Bicas and Pólo Universitário.

After 10 years in the South of Portugal, the Rally de Portugal is going to take place for the second year in a row in the north of the country, this time with an exceptional Street Stage that will bring an unique spectacle to Porto downtown.
This year, the WRC Vodafone Rally de Portugal will cross the heart of Porto with Porto Street Stage. During 2h30 the best cars in the world will cross Avenida dos Aliados and surrounding streets. The race is going to start at Passos Manuel street near Teatro Rivoli and will finish at Sé do Porto.
The planned route includes two 360º turns and a jump in front of AXA building in Aliados. There are two technical interesting passes by Trindade Station and São Bento. Another highlight of the competition is the final cerimony, May 22nd, in Matosinhos.
